This was taken from WFV looking toward Madera. The sun was just beginning to shine on Pine Ridge. The snow is already melting. We probably lost a foot since last Friday. It has been lowering to 28 at night, but rising to 43 during the day...makes perfect conditions for snow to melt.

This ice build-up on our kitchen window curled and twisted like shaved ice. Many part of Shaver is still without power--since last Tuesday. Some are without water too...but we are hanging in there!

Shaver Lake Fog???

Good morning!! Yes, this what we see from sunny Shaver Lake looking down into the valley this morning. I traveled to Fresno yesterday and it was gray and colder there than at the Shaver elevation.
The snow is melting quickly here at Shaver Lake. The ground is getting patchy with rocks and pine needles beginning to peak through again. It is only January, so Mr Weather had better send more snow our way or it is going to be another very dry summer.

Although this picture was taken some time ago, coyotes visit our back yard area quite often. This morning my dog went crazy at the window, as she often does when she sees wild life. She barks and wines, looking at me with those eyes which seem to say she is set on a hunt.
At first we saw only one coyote. It slowly meandered along the back of the property stopping to see what all the fuss was coming from our house. She continued until out of site. She appeared again in 10 minutes or so as if she had circled the house. She nearly crossed the length of the back yard when she began to walk the other direction... fur on her back standing tall. I then noticed another coyote coming from the same direction as she had, its hair standing tall on it its back as well. The first coyote headed down hill and the second coyote began this peculiar run towards the one headed down hill. Not a "run" as we would think. Its back was arched and it bolted more than ran. It too disappeared out of sight down the hill. Then only one emerged; an assumption of mine is that our backyard "belonged" to one of them and it chased the other a way.
My dog has now run upstairs, and up onto the chair which gives her a higher more "Queen" like view of the rear property. Her barking has stopped and we can no longer see the animals. Just another day at Shaver...if you take the time to look.

Millerton Lake from my deck...yes we really can see it! It is amazing what you can see if you study what is around you. Some snow last Friday evening, but just cold temps from there forward.
There were a lot of people up for Thanksgiving as people gathered with family...some just up for the day to get their Christmas Tree. Lion's Club has their annual Christmas Tree sales in the parking lot at Bob's market. The trees are fresh cut, in Shaver, by Lion's Club members. Come up and pick one out!

Well, you have all missed your chance! Someone just came along and bought all the remaining view lots next to my home. The buyer bought a total of eight lots here in Wildflower Village phase five. I believe he is building on one and the others are just investments...

My dog Carly thinks you should visit Shaver Lake all year round. Many only visit in summer, or when there is snow on the ground. Carly knows that two of the other best times to visit are in fall when the trees turn colors, and in Spring when snow first melts and snow flowers begin to bloom.

Carly is a Goldendoodle...part Poodle and part Golden Retriever. She does not shed any more than you or I, and her coat is soft as silk---once you touch her it is difficult take take your hands off her.

She is smart, very smart!

I hope you get up to Shaver again soon. This is a great time of the year just to see the Dogwood trees in fall colors.

Shaver is in a fog this morning with a 20 % chance of rain. We will see what happens--snow if it happens is supposed to be really high.

Fall Begins

Fall begins and the shadows are so different now. Fall is my favorite time of the year in the mountains. The air is crisp, cool and the sun can be really warm.
If you have an interest, now is a great time to buy property at Shaver Lake. Prices have come down ~40%!

The heat in the Valley brings some very nice clouds along with very beautiful sunsets. Clouds keep threatening thunderstorms, but so far, at Shaver, they have only been a threat.

The weather is warming up here at Shaver with an expected high of 88 by Thursday. Last night there was a very slight threat of thunder storms, but it never quite happened.

Shaver Lake is nearly full--short only 10,000 acre feet of being full which makes for just enough beach and a very lovely lake.

Wildflower Village, an area in Shaver, is named because of its beautiful flowers. All of the streets are named after flowers that grow in the area. These are Monkey Flowers. They are lovely and grow in the bare gravel and between the granite out croppings. They seem to need little water. We have encouraged their growth in our front yard and we look like master gardeners becasue of it--don't tell anyone they grow wild--we look like pros!

The weather is finally warming up so I think I will do the final stove glass cleaning for summer. We have reached the high 70s this past week, but in this mountain sun feels more like mid 80s.

Shaver Lake Sap

Yes, this little Goldendoodle may look clean as a whistle, but one good half hour romp in the forest of Shaver Lake and her paws can be filled with sticky sap. We try to keep her paws trimmed short, but the Orange hand cleaner that my husband uses on his hands after working on the car does the trick. It takes some massaging, but the sap comes out.

Don't forget the fireworks this year here at Shaver are on Friday the July 3rd.

Shaver lake has been quite cool so far this June. Temps in the 60s so far...cloudy many days and some sunny.

The Fireworks this year are on Friday, July 3rd. The Chamber almost cancelled this event due to lack of funds, so when you see the donation jar at stores and restaurants around town make sure to drop in your nickels, dimes and dollars to help fund this fun event.

Shaver Lake was in a thick cloud yesterday with the addition of rain. It made travel a bit like being in the Valley on a very foggy day, except of course here in the mountains we call it "being in a cloud." Which is exactly what it is.
The sun is shining today and we hope evaporation does not contribute to those old "self fulfilling clouds" as my husband calls it. With this much snow on the ground, sometimes a sunny day turns dark after a short while.
We keep a portion of the deck cleared for our dog. So she is happy sunshine or not!

Shave Lake CA Puppy!

You can see the snow beneath my dog Carly's feet. The snow is deep enough on our deck that you cannot see the top of the railing. Although we have a cleared path for her to run and play fetch with the ball, she will jump to the top of the snow and run on it instead. This is truly a SNOW DOG!...and such a great pup too! Carly, at nearly five months old.

We received about 10 inches of snow through the night--lots of wind--a great storm! Looking down into the Valley, it looks like the snow may have fallen as low as 3000-4000 feet in elevation.

The snow is melting quickly as clouds give way to blue sky. This "point of defrost" creates the best snow art as patches of wood, rock, bark, and earth begin to show through the brilliance and sparkle of white.

This captures Dogwood Mountain so well and the subdivision of the same name. Music Creek runs along the lower areas of Dogwood. This was taken below Little Thumper on the five acres we used to own in Dogwood. Music Creek ran through the middle of our five acres. It was so beautiful there any time of the year (this piece of property is on the market at this time).

Shaver Lake has received maybe three inches of snow in this last storm--Sierra Summit a good deal more.

This is a great Sunset taken from the last home we lived in on Wild Iris (which is for sale by the current owners). I wish I could say it was sunny here today, or better yet, I wish I could say it is snowing. It is quite the opposite...rain, rain, rain. It is melting the snow that we have. Snow is predicted above 8000 feet in elevation, but not here at Shaver.

This is Carly and she is a new arrival to Shaver Lake. She ADORES the snow and likes to watch the sun set too...tee hee hee. She is a Goldendoodle that does not shed...she is a fluff ball of joy.

The next event at Shaver is the crab feed on February 21st. Be there! It is a lot of fun!

Last evening the wind came up clearing the sky. We were able to see the valley lights below very nicely. This morning the smoke is back, but is clearer than yesterday. Temperatures have cooled off to the lower 70s. Very nice!

Lovely isn't it? Just think, we call it a weed.

Shaver has been in the 70s this past week...50s and 60s at night. We are all waiting for the fire in the high country to burn out and the fire in Coarsegold did not help us much either. It is a bit smokey here today. Some days the wind picks up and blows the smoke away, and it is again lovely. Let's all hope the fires are out soon.

Only one more activity on the 13th and summer events come to a close at Shaver Lake. The highways will have a new pace and the lake will become serene.

Fall is always a joy and too soon will turn to winter. We can all hope for a very wet winter and an abundance of snow and a look forward to the enjoyment of snow play and skiing.

We can tell the hummers are beginning their migration. In fact some begin as early as mid July, but most leave late August through September. Leave those feeders out until we have colder temperatures day and night. It will provide Humming Birds food as they migrate.

These plants grow wild at Shaver. The small green plants look like ground cover. The Monkey Flowers, as they are called, are bright purple/pink and beautiful. The plants look as if I spent hours planting and tending to them. The grow in rough granite where it is dry and bare. It is difficult to understand how they survive--nature at its finest.

The whole hillside looks like this in spring. Those same beautiful Lupin are now small clumps of grey and not at all attractive. Nature can play such tricks on us. Musick Mountain Blues Festival is this weekend at Shaver. The weather will be lovely!

There seems to be more birds than usual this time of the month. The Humming birds are 4-10 at a feeder and I have to fill each feeder daily...they drink about 4-8 cups of syrup a day. If anyone ever tells you that you "eat like a bird" you should be insulted.

I have between 6-30 quail in my front yard each morning and evening. They are delightful. I watch the young grow and eat. A parent is always standing close and at guard.

Logger's Jamboree was a huge success--cars lined the street from the Community Center to the main part of town. The next event, Mountain Blues Festival, is the week of the 22nd.

The days are getting shorter and, I hate to say it, but Fall is already in the air. Fall is the best at Shaver. Crisp mornings, cool nights and the colors around the mountain are awesome.

It is still summer for now, but Fall is just around the corner.

Is this not another great sunset???...a few clouds can make all the difference in the world.

The clouds last week brought some fabulous sunsets. It was difficult to stop taking pictures as it changed each second. This picture was taken looking out towards Madera and the San Luis Reservoir from Shaver.
Next weekend is the Black Pot Cook-Off. A really fun gathering at Fisherman's Cove. If you want to go, call the Central Sierra Historical Society at Shaver for tickets.

Beautiful Edison Lake

Last weekend my husband and I kayaked over seven miles from one end of Edison Lake to the other--we even paddled up Mono creek a bit. Mono creek feeds into Edison Lake. If you go, go early in the morning...the winds coming back in the afternoon somtimes kept us at a slow pace of .9 miles per hour.

Each night as we look out toward the valley and over the mountains, we are given the opportunity to view sunsets such as these. There always seems to be a few clouds drifting by just to make it all more interesting. I feel so blessed.

The Hummer

Looking out our kitchen window yesterday we could see what looked to be a humming bird, wings spread apart in flight, but as if it was standing on the snow. We quickly realized that the snow had melted so that you could see the small bird attached to the bird bath--you could only see the bird. Seeing this little, metal bird, all alone, made us realize that although the snow is melting, we still have 3-4 feet in most places here at Shaver. The birdbath is about that tall.

It really is interesting to watch the snow melt revealing all those things in and around you that you have not been able to see since the fall.

A Light Dusting

From my deck you can zoom in on the distant mountains--notice the snow on the trees in the foreground? Those trees are not too far from my deck. Sometimes in the middle of a storm, or when a storm is just arriving, the distant mountains look dark, dark blue and yet where I am standing the snow is very white. It makes for quite a contrast and is very beautiful.

Dog Sled Races this weekend. It should be beautiful!

It was sunny here all day yesterday with a few clouds here and there.

More Snow!

We received 5-6 new inches of snow on the deck yesterday--Sierra Sumitt received 6-8. W are expecting an 80% chance of more new snow today--up to 9 inches.

Shaver Lake has a new, really awesome art gallery featuring local artists...and we do have some very talented people in Shaver. The art gallery is a part of the Chamber office. The Shaver Lake Chamber is located next to the hardware store in the heart of Shaver. Visit the art gallery, you will be glad you did.

Another Great Sunset!

Looks like we have some weather coming our way beginning tonight and getting more into the storm Thursday through Sunday. I sure hope predictions are correct. We could use more snow...can't get enough of that snow.

I normally do not bring up Real Estate in my blog. I want the focus to be Shaver. But if you know if anyone who is looking for a way to get a starter cabin at Shaver, I may have what they need. This VERY rustic cabin was built in 1930. The owners bought it in 1936 and their children bought it from then in 1954. It has been in the same family for 72 years. Wow!

It has an orginal propane Wedgewood stove and it works--needs a new stove pipe. The home has two bedrooms, and one bath, and very "old" vinyl and wood flooring. The propane floor furnace switches on and has a thermostat. The cabin has insulation in the roof, but not in the walls. Electrical has been updated in the kitchen and bathroom. The nicest part is the lot. It is a great lot, actually 1 1/2 lots in West Village. .2146 to be exact. That is nearly quarter of an acre--large lot for West Village.

The owners tell me it is a fully functional cabin--but definitely very rustic. It is being sold "as is" "where is" "in its current conditon without any warranty." Priced at $235,000. These owners were so interesting and knew so much about the history of Shaver.

Sunset Over the Deck

We have had some very nice, warm, sunny days ove the last two weeks. It is a bit over cast this morning as another day begins at Shaver Lake. We still have lots of snow and I hear people say as they come through our Coldwell Banker office that the skiing at Sierra Summit is fantastic!

This is my deck. We can barely see the top of the railing. People clearing the roads this weekend were kept very busy. CalTrans kept highway 168 in excellent shape as they always do.

The sunset may look warm, but it has been cold, cold, cold at Shaver. There is a lot of snow at Sierra Summit and I am told it is the best ever.

The amount of snow sitting on the deck railing was so odd. It was such light and fluffy snow so was able to stay on the railing for some time. This snow was from last Friday and Sunday. We received another five inches today. It has been wild!

A Trip to the Beach

Shaver has been very cold lately. We received a short drift of what we call dandruff snow yesterday and for a very short time.

The Special Olympics are this weekend at Sierra Summit. The Sandstroms (they run Sierra Marina) work very hard to put this on for some very deserving folks. If you are up at the Marina this summer make sure to thank them for all their hard work on this event.

Vallley Fog in January

Sunny Days

We have had fantastic weather these last two days. Sun hitting the glistening snow...just can't beat it.

Since the buckets of dear food are buried under the snow, we do not have visiting deer. But, we do have a single coyote, and then two others that come together and scamper around our lot almost daily. They come at different times so we know they are not together.

Valley Fog

Most of the weekend we watched valley fog from the our mountain top where it was sunny and beautiful. This is the sunset from our deck over valley fog. The fog is so beautiful to watch from above--like the ocean.

Visitor

This gentleman has been to our house twice in the last two days. He likes the leftover rice we placed outside after Christmas. In the last two days we have had deer, two bucks, this coyote and a mountain lion. We did not see the mountain lion, but his tracks in the snow were very obvious.

Overcast today...a thin, thin icing of snow sprinkled over the roads last night, which melted by mid morning.

We had a bright sunny Christmas Eve. Christmas day-- some sun, some clouds...but today it is snowing and foggy...all most a white-out.

People are taking advantage of the 50% off sale at Shaver Lake gifts...no really they are. You can purchase some great gifts for next Christmas, or some extraordinary decorations. I already bought two ornaments myself.

Snow? Yes, it is a close-up my husband took the day after a snow as we snow shoed around Shaver.

We received 3-4 inches of new snow at Shaver...I believe they received another new nine inches at the Summit. Our temperature lowered to 11 degrees last night. The sun is currently showing its lovely face as I watch fog form over the San Joaquin Valley. It is supposed to be cloudy over the next few days...we call them self-fulfilling clouds. This usually occurs as our snow begins to melt and evaporate, similar to fog in the valley. Here in the mountains we would never call it fog...here, we are in a cloud.

The wind is blowing and it is snowing. The last storm did not bring anywhere near the snow promised by the weatherman. This storm, again, is supposed to bring up to 32 inches. We will hope that the weather man is correct. The picture shown here is from our snow storm a week ago. Most of that snow has melted off the trees, but currently we have a blanket of white over the ground everywhere. It is quite lovely at Shaver!

We waited all day for snow. The snow finally drifted upon Shaver Lake around 4 PM. We did not get near the 25 inches as was predicted...maybe three and it is already melting. Last message from Sierra Summit was 13 inches on the base and 19 inches at the top. That message came yesterday around 5PM. Maybe they received even more last night. Get your skis out!

Weather is still quite chilly here at Shaver. At 5:30 last evening it was 26 degrees. The weather man says that we are going to get snow again on Sunday evening...we can only wish.

Cold Enough!

It has really been chilly ever since our last storm. It did however make it to 35 degrees yesterday. Really warm...yeah right! But I must say that when the sun is shining it feels warmer than it is.

This is a picture taken from my back yard looking toward Madera over the ridge. Is it so beautiful. Looking out my window at the snow covered ground is fabulous ( I did pinch myself, and it is real)! I am so lucky to live at Shaver Lake!

It is SO beautiful!
Shaver received about three inches yesterday and again another two inches last evening. Not sure about Sierra Summit, but I am sure that have a good bit more as it began snowing there on Thursday. High temperature today is set for 31 degrees; low tonight 8 ?????

They Multiply...

At our last home we hardly ever saw a bird at this bird bath. Since we moved we have them constantly-- and many different varieties.

I also watched six deer and one buck in my back yard yesterday. It is mating season and things are getting weird out there! I went out to chat with them and they instantly all turned to me and froze with the "deer in the headlight" stare and did not move until I returned back to the house.

Just another day at Shaver!!

Thanksgiving Hike!

I suggested that we take my sister-in-law on a hike. Everyone was game, especially my husband. We chose the hike to the top of Bald Mountain. It had been a while since we had hiked, so I was really looking forward to it.

What I did not know, nor find out until we had driven down Dinkey Creek road and half way to the beginning of the trail, was the information describing the trail stated "not for the faint of heart!" Having company with us and not wanting to at all look "chicken" (I was scared to death) we started up the mountain.

The trail rose quickly and the heart pounded in strain...but that was good with me I am fit enough, but the trail narrowed in places with not much room for error and there in lies my fear. When the guide book said to tie a rope to any children you may take for the hike, I should have known that that included me. (I would suggest that if you take small children on this hike you do take a rope...that way if they slip you can pull them back to safety. Most of the sliding would not be but to a lower rock...we are not talking a cliff...but one could still get hurt in some steep areas).

Once to the top (5.50 miles round trip), you have a 360 degree view of...EVERYTHING! This picture does not give justice to the view of Shaver Lake behind us. It was absolutely breathtaking. You can also take a jeep, quads, or other off-road vehicles. Make sure to get your sticker for your vehicle from USFS or you could get fined. The hiking trail is half off-road vehicle road and half foot trail.

On the return of the trip the "downhill" sections were a little, well, scary for me. When you are coming down slopes with loose gravel...footing is very important. So how did I handle it all? Having brought gloves to protect my hands from possible cold they took on another purpose--I would sit and slide on my back side with gloves slowing my decent...sounds a bit weird and I made the others laugh, but it worked for me! ;)

Keep in mind that this did not seem near as scary for my fellow hikers...but I am as described "the faint at heart."

Best Time To Burn??

It is not difficult to see how the recent fires in Southern California caused so much damage and spread so quickly.

The fires you see here were begun in slash piles initially covered with snow--you can see snow everywhere yet the fires burned as if it were the middle of summer. Most developers who have clearing to do make piles like these and burn them in the winter snow. These flames make one realize it is always best to check with the USFS for safe burning dates.

If you are headed to Shaver Lake this weekend for the tree lighting, to buy a Christmas tree, or just to enjoy Santa's Village, you can stop by Coldwell Banker and pick up a printed list of all the events beginning this weekend and continuing through Christmas.

Everywhere in town you can see elves, Christmas stockings and so much more. Santa's helpers have been very busy. The town Christmas tree is up and Santa will be lighting the tree the day after (Friday evening) Thanksgiving. There will also be a great Holiday boutique that same weekend.

The clouds and rain are gone and the sun is out once again...so like Shaver Lake. Sometimes in the winter when it is only 40 degrees it can feel like 75 degrees standing in the sun at Shaver.

Same bobcat as in the video? Yes, indeed. I was lucky enough to watch her make the catch ( it's a ground squirrel).

The Central Sierra Historical Society was the host to 100+ people for their First Annual Shaver Lake Home Tour. It was a huge success.

I am thankful for the change in weather, but we sure could have used more rain. November 6th is usually the cut off for summer "no-burn," but because it is so dry they have extended the date until further notice.

Today volunteers were out getting Santa's Village all in place for the arrival of Santa himself on Thanksgiving weekend.

Give Yourself The Whole Day!

Another great hike ends where you can cool your hard working feet. This hike out of Huntington takes you to Twin Lakes. There are trips (via horseback) that go even farther than twin lakes, but we were on foot so the lakes were the end of our journey.

Each of the lakes are so clear that you can watch the fish swim along the edge. Make sure to take your swimming suit...the water is cold, but I guarantee you that you will not be able to leave without a swim--and after the long trip in, you feet will appreciate the cool refreshment it provides. This is an all day hike and you would want to make sure you go in good weather. The trail is easy to follow and easy in itself--just long.

If you head up toward Tamarack Ridge, enter the second snow play area (on the left) you will have access to several hikes/nordic ski trails. The hike to Eagle Point is easy. This is what you see when you get to the top--that's right--Shaver Lake. You can also see a tiny sliver of Balsam Fore Bay to the right. The hike is about a three hour trip to and fro with some beautiful trees and meadows along the way. On one trip (we have been three times) we even watched a bear in a meadow of yellow flowers--he was gorgeous!

A Different Trip

Different kayak, different trip. This lazy girl is resting from her kayak paddle at Wishon. This quaint cove provided a very hard and lumpy sun bath, but it still felt wonderful. The smooth paddle to the cove was only a disguise for the tough paddle back against the wind.

It was a beautiful weekend for kayaks this past weekend. Not a soul on the lake....well, we did hear a couple of distant voices on the beach and one fisherman gave a loud yelp--caught a prize fish I guess. But in general, it was still and sooooo relaxing--one small boat and two kayaks on the whole lake. I think we may need to see what Huntington is like next weekend.

Although I keep snow in my prayers and thoughts, the sun just keeps on shining. It is difficult to complain about the sun. Actually it is difficult to complain about Shaver Lake at all.

It is a great time of the year for hikes...cool, yet without snow laden paths.

It is the slower time of the year, less traffic, less noise...relaxing color is what the fall is best described as. Come on up!!

How would you like to look at this as you drink your morning coffee? Imagine it in the snow! A friend is building on this spot. The location is off upper Auberry Road. You can see just a bit of the concrete foundation in the upper picture. It is really nice there. Views are in unexpected places around Shaver. This is from an elevation of only 4900 feet. The view here is of the Minarets I believe. Lucky owner!

Last evening we had quite a lightning show...not a whole lot of thunder until the rain came with hail and fairly calm winds.

Yes, Shaver residents know how to have fun...I will let you use your imagination as to who these two characters were portraying at a local party last Saturday evening. People here take their Halloween parties seriously. We had pirates, white trash, Austin Powers and his gal, Irishmen in Kilts, a winch, witches of course, a pimp, a martini, Cleopatra, and a cat; just to name a few.

It is just beginning to sprinkle here at Shaver and it feels like my wood burning stove will see a fire before day is over. Once the sun is covered up with clouds it gets a bit chilly. Snow is supposed to be 8000 feet...sure wish it were at 5600.

www.wunderground.com is the best source for Shaver weather and over time I found it to be the most accurate. Put 93664 into the search bar. Make sure to investigate the site/page thoroughly to find Shaver specific numbers and predictions. You can also call Caltrans to get highway information and chain requirments--when asked just put in 168 as the highway number. Remember you must always carry chains no matter what kind of car or tires you have.

New Sunset...Different Deck

Weather is still in the 70's at Shaver...the fall colors are still beautiful and if you hurry up to Shaver you may still catch a glimpse before it turns cold.

This crazy Shaver Lake Real Estate agent has moved again...this time into an even more perfect place. This picture is from the deck of the second home we have built here at Shaver Lake. We have lived in three of the most perfect places here at Shaver...either on a creek or with beautiful views. My husband and I have to pinch ourselves each day...we are so lucky.

Our current home was built by Oak Creek Construction with much of the interior (floors, granite, windows) installed by Abbey Flooring and Interior Design of Fresno (if you ever need similar items ask for Chris). We just moved in end of August. Tim Elming, a local mason and quite the artist, worked his magic with quartzite floors and walls and what he calls Sierra Mix(local rock gathered here from Shaver) placed so artistically behind our wood burning stove...it is awesome.

I hope you like the picture of the sunset. I must have taken 30 or more to get two that I really liked.

It appears that summer is back at Shaver Lake. The really good news is that the fall colors will be hanging around for a bit longer. You really must come up to visit. Imagine bright oranges and yellows, rusty colors too, all on a background palate of green. It really is lovely.

Shaver Lake is gearing up for Santa's Village...I know, I know, Christmas is so far away, but there is a lot to do to prepare for Santa's Village. Those in charge want to have all decorations up before Thanksgiving weekend, so that those visiting with small children can enjoy the excitement. Good Morning! It is another beautiful day here at Shaver Lake. Although we have had a few cold, cloudy dreary days, the sun peaked out first thing this AM and it...is...lovely!

The fall colors are remarkable as the Dogwood trees begin to show their real personality before going dormant for the winter. The air is brisk so bring your jacket, but it cannot get any better at Shaver!

It seems that unless the air is warm for swimming, or the snow is ready for skis, people just don't visit Shaver and that is a shame. The fall is the one of the very best times to be here...one of the very best.
