Enjoying the Brew!

The 2nd Annual Brewfest was a great time. The weather was perfect! The band played and people truly "sipped" different kinds of beer--15 different kinds were there for the tasting. I did not see guzzling like one might expect of a "Brewfest." It was a wonderful event. Best of show was Sierra Nevada Stout. I have never been one to like beer, but I even found one light enough to please my taste--Sierra Nevada Summerfest.
If you missed it this year, plan to attend next year. It will occur again sometime shortly after Memorial Day weekend.

What is a view worth?

This view is just down the street from my home...in fact the lot this picture was taken from is due to hit the market in the next couple of days.

Take a drive up to Shaver, look at the views, taste different brews at the Brewfest (12-5) tomorrow, and if the sun makes you a bit warm take a dip in the lake. What have you got to lose?

Snow?

Memorial day weekend brought snow and the end to a chilly week in Shaver. Watching through windows at snow falling, we moved a party planned to be outside--to inside by the fireplace. That is what is so great about living in the mountains--it is unpredictable!
Tuesday reached a high of 69 degrees and we are supposed to inch up to 78 degrees by Saturday. Last week we were snuggled by the fire and this weekend we will be out on boats.
